General Contracting
Vaquero Construction Inc. is a licensed general "B" contractor whose principals have extensive experience building large apartment projects, single family detached homes and attached for-sale townhomes. In addition, Vaquero has an excellent track record of rehabilitation work on projects requiring "down to stud" rehab or just a cosmetic "lipstick" rehab. Vaquero prides itself on working with the project owner to deliver the highest quality product within the project budget. Vaquero's team of construction professionals have developed construction methods that allow for a faster delivery than industry norms. Subcontractors report they are able to provide better pricing because of Vaquero's "production" style of building. As your GC, Vaquero welcomes the opportunity to work with the owner and consultant designers offering input on construction materials and methods and providing value engineering as well as other cost saving ideas.
Real Estate Development
Vaquero Construction can work with developers early on to assist with services such as financial modeling and entitlements. A value asset of Vaquero staff is that they possess over 20 years of development experience working with various cities and communities in the greater Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Francisco Bay Areas to obtain development approvals and acquire the necessary funding sources to make projects work, especially in the affordable housing arena. Vaquero welcomes the opportunity to consult in the early stages of a development to determine feasibility or bringing a project to viable development.
Construction Management
Vaquero's principals can serve as an owner consultant to provide valuable input on items such as plan review, cost estimating or serve as the owner's representative on projects in construction. Vaquero has 15 years' of experience estimating construction costs for affordable owners, both multifamily and single family developments. Vaquero has the technical knowledge and pricing experience to serve as an owner's rep by evaluating change orders and other construction issues when dealing with general contractors.
